Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip7 is set to launch in early July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7. Initially, it was believed that the Flip7 would feature the Exynos 2500 chipset globally, following a benchmark leak. However, a recent report indicates that the Exynos 2500 will only be used in Korea, while other regions will receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This aligns with previous rumors about the Galaxy Z Fold7 also utilizing the Snapdragon chip worldwide. This launch marks the Exynos 2500’s delayed debut, as it was originally intended for the Galaxy S25 family but faced yield issues.
The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7 from Samsung is slated for a launch in early July, coinciding with the Galaxy Z Fold7 release. Recent reports indicate that the Flip7 will feature Samsung’s long-awaited Exynos 2500 chipset. A benchmark for the US variant has emerged, confirming the presence of the Exynos 2500, suggesting that this chipset will be available globally.
However, a new article from South Korea contradicts this earlier information. A local source claims that the Exynos 2500 will be exclusive to the Flip7 in Korea, while other regions will receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite model instead.

This new report also reaffirms previous speculations that the Galaxy Z Fold7 will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite globally. The current situation remains quite unclear, but it’s evident that the Exynos 2500 will at least power the Flip7 in select markets.
This marks the first occasion that Samsung has incorporated one of its proprietary chipsets into a foldable smartphone, representing a significant achievement for the company. Additionally, it gives the Exynos 2500 a long-overdue launch; it was initially intended for the Galaxy S25 lineup, but yield issues delayed its introduction.
