Ghost of Yōtei is set to launch on PS5 on October 2, 2025. This new installment, unrelated to Ghost of Tsushima, follows protagonist Atsu as she seeks vengeance against the Yōtei Six, a gang responsible for her family’s death. The game features an evolved open-world experience with enhanced exploration, various new weapons, allies, and a gameplay mechanic revealing Atsu’s tragic past. Pre-orders begin on May 2, 2025, offering several editions, including a Collector’s Edition with exclusive items. We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Ghost of Yōtei will be available on PS5 starting October 2, 2025!
It has been almost five years since the release of Ghost of Tsushima, and during this time, our team has been diligently crafting Ghost of Yōtei to be a memorable experience. Although the narratives are distinct, we strive to make this a meaningful continuation of Jin’s saga, and we eagerly anticipate your engagement with Atsu’s quest for vengeance later this year.
In conjunction with today’s announcement, we are pleased to unveil our latest trailer for Ghost of Yōtei titled “The Onryō’s List.” Sixteen years ago in the core of Ezo (now Hokkaido), a group of outlaws known as the Yōtei Six stripped everything away from Atsu. They brutally murdered her family and left her for dead, clinging to a burning ginkgo tree outside her dwelling. However, Atsu endured. She honed her skills in combat and survival, and after years away, she has returned home with a list of six names: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.
One by one, she is pursuing them to avenge her family, wielding the very katana that was used to pin her to that burning tree years ago. Although Atsu’s journey begins with a thirst for vengeance, she will discover that there is much more to her path than mere revenge. As she traverses through Ezo, Atsu will encounter unexpected allies and build connections that will provide her with a renewed sense of purpose.
We hope today’s glimpse from the trailer offers a taste of what awaits you in Ghost of Yōtei. Besides the first look at the Yōtei Six, you’ll also witness the stunning landscapes of Ezo, a collection of Atsu’s new weaponry, various allies, and a fresh gameplay mechanic enabling you to explore Atsu’s past and comprehend all that she has lost.
However, this is just the beginning. In Ghost of Yōtei, we have expanded and enhanced the exploration of the open world, delivering even greater freedom and diversity compared to Ghost of Tsushima. You will be able to decide which leads to pursue as you determine the first Yōtei Six member to target. Additionally, Atsu can track other perilous foes and claim bounties or seek guidance from weapon sensei to acquire new skills. Ezo is both wild and breathtaking, filled with unexpected threats and tranquil moments (including a return of some activities from Tsushima), and you will have the ability to set up a campfire anywhere in the open world to relax beneath the stars. Today, we are excited to announce that pre-orders for Ghost of Yōtei will commence next week, starting May 2 at 10:00 AM in your local timezone (10:00 AM ET for those in the U.S.), with options to choose from various exciting editions, including our stunning Collector’s Edition.

By pre-ordering any edition of Ghost of Yōtei, you will receive a distinctive in-game mask and a set of seven PSN avatars that showcase concept art of Atsu and each Yōtei Six member upon launch1. Players who pre-order on the PlayStation Store will receive immediate access to the avatars.
The standard edition of Ghost of Yōtei will be priced at $69.99 USD / £69.99 / €79.99 / ¥8,980 MSRP, and will be available both at retail outlets and on the PlayStation Store.
On the PlayStation Store, you will also be able to pre-order the Ghost of Yōtei Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99 / £79.99 / €89.99 / ¥9,980 MSRP.
The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with a digital copy of Ghost of Yōtei and includes in-game bonuses such as The Snake’s armor set and an alternate dye for your initial armor. You will also receive a unique color for your horse and a special saddle dye, in addition to an in-game Charm, a gold Sword Kit, and an early unlock of Traveler’s Maps which allow you to locate statues throughout the world to upgrade your skills.
Finally, we are excited to present the Ghost of Yōtei Collector’s Edition2, which will be available for pre-order on direct.playstation.com in certain regions or at select retailers elsewhere. The Collector’s Edition will retail for $249.99 | €249.99 | 31,980 JPY MSRP.
This comprehensive edition includes all pre-order bonuses, in-game items from the Digital Deluxe Edition, and a digital copy of the game3, along with a display-quality replica of Atsu’s Ghost mask. The mask is designed to match the size of Jin’s mask from the Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition. If you own both, they create a stunning display together on a shelf! The mask measures 6.8 x 5 x 5.9 inches, is crafted from resin, and features its own display stand.
Also included is a replica of Atsu’s sash, adorned with the names of all six members of the Yōtei Six (which you can cross out yourself). The sash measures 71 inches and is made from a cotton blend, making it an excellent cosplay accessory or wall decoration.
Additionally, there is a replica of the Tsuba from Atsu’s katana, forged by her father in the likeness of two twin wolves. This Tsuba measures approximately 3 x 3 inches and comes with its own display stand.
In addition to all of these items, the Ghost of Yōtei Collector’s Edition also features a pouch of coins and instructions for playing Zeni Hajiki, a skill-based game that you’ll engage with throughout Ghost of Yōtei. You’ll also find a foldable papercraft ginkgo tree with a wolf at its base and a collection of four 5 x 7-inch art cards showcasing the sash, the wolf, Atsu’s Ghost mask, and our core artwork.
