Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro are coming soon.

Xiaomi recently unveiled the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra at MWC in Barcelona and is already preparing the next T series, which will include the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro. References to these models have emerged in the new HyperOS 2.1 code, confirming their upcoming release. While specific details remain scarce, the 15T Pro shares its codename with the upcoming Redmi K80 Ultra, suggesting it will be the global variant but not a direct rebrand. Anticipated upgrades include improvements in the camera, with possible MediaTek Dimensity 8400 SoC for the 15T and Dimensity 9400 for the Pro. The launch is expected in September.

At the start of this month, Xiaomi introduced the 15 and 15 Ultra to global audiences in Barcelona at MWC, and it appears that the company is already diligently working on the upcoming T series. This will typically consist of two variants: the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro, succeeding the 14T and 14T Pro models.

We have discovered references to these upcoming models in the latest HyperOS 2.1 code, confirming that the T lineup will indeed continue this year. Unfortunately, specific specifications are not available yet, but there’s an intriguing detail to consider.

Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro

The Xiaomi 15T Pro shares the same internal codename as the upcoming Redmi K80 Ultra, a device that will likely be available exclusively in China, following historical trends. Therefore, the 15T Pro will serve as the global counterpart to that model, but it probably won’t be a direct rebrand—T series devices have never been.

This is supported by the different model numbers of the K80 Ultra and the 15T Pro. What is expected is that the 15T Pro will be significantly inspired by the K80 Ultra, yet not identical—especially, we anticipate improvements in the camera technology.

If Xiaomi follows its traditional approach from previous years, it would be reasonable to expect the 15T to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 SoC, with the Pro model featuring the Dimensity 9400 or 9400+. The launch event is likely to occur in September.

Notably, the Xiaomi 15T is codenamed “klimt,” named after the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt, while the Pro version carries the codename “turner,” after the renowned English painter. This continues the trend of T series devices utilizing codenames that pay homage to famous painters throughout history.
