Oppo has refined its Find X8 series, introducing the Find X8 Ultra, a camera flagship featuring a penta-camera system co-developed with Hasselblad, including a 1” main sensor and three additional 50MP modules. It boasts a 6.82” LTPO display, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 6,100mAh battery with fast charging. The compact Find X8s, with a 6.3” display, offers a 5,700mAh battery and triple 50MP cameras, while the Find X8s+ upgrades the Dimensity chipset and battery. Currently, these models are limited to China, prompting interest in a potential global launch.
Following the launch of the Find X8 series in October, Oppo has taken the opportunity to enhance what could be the most intriguing models in its lineup – primarily, the Ultra camera flagship as well as the brand’s inaugural compact camera flagship.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra boasts an impressive penta-camera system co-engineered with Hasselblad. The main camera features a 1” Sony LYT-900 sensor, complemented by an ultra-wide (1/2.75” JN5) and two telephoto modules – 3x (70mm, 1/1.56” LYT-700) and 6x (135mm, 1/1.95” LYT-600). All four cameras are equipped with 50MP sensors, accompanied by the True Chroma Camera, which utilizes a 9-channel multispectral sensor for enhanced color accuracy.

These advanced image sensors and lenses are paired with the HyperTone Image Engine, which has been developed internally at Oppo. Additionally, the company claims this is the slimmest camera flagship available at just 8.78mm thick – not including the camera module, of course.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra also stands out as a flagship beyond its camera capabilities. It features a 6.82” LTPO display (1-120Hz), runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and houses a 6,100mAh Si/C battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, alongside an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Oppo Find X8s serves as the company’s compact camera flagship, sporting a 6.3” display and incredibly thin 1.25mm symmetrical bezels. While some may argue that a 6.3” display isn’t compact, it represents the smallest size that has proven successful in the market, as previous attempts to go smaller have not fared well.
Oppo Find X8s
The X8s is only 7.73mm thick and weighs 179g, allowing for a robust 5,700mAh battery. It runs on the Dimensity 9400+ chipset and features a triple 50MP camera co-developed with Hasselblad, which includes an 85mm telephoto lens.
The Oppo Find X8s+ serves as the upgraded version of the Find X8 – it features the Dimensity 9400+ (as opposed to the non-plus 9400) while maintaining a 6.59” display. This model also sports a triple 50MP Hasselblad camera on the rear (with a 73mm telephoto lens) and a larger 6,000mAh battery (up from 5,630mAh), all while keeping a similar profile at 7.95mm thick and weighing 198g.
Oppo Find X8s+
Currently, Oppo plans to launch the Find X8 Ultra and the two X8s models exclusively in China. Would you like to see these devices receive a global release, and if so, which one would you choose?
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra stands out as a leading camera flagship for 2025, excelling in other features as well. Would you consider purchasing one if Oppo introduced it in your region? Or would you attempt to import it from China?
What are your thoughts on the Oppo Find X8s? As one of the smaller flagships available today, it offers a larger battery compared to models from Apple, Samsung, and Google.
Lastly, while the Oppo Find X8s+ is a sizable upgrade over the original Find X8, does it truly offer enough enhancements?
