The vivo Y29 4G retains the 6.68″ LCD screen with a 720p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is protected by Schott glass, which the manufacturer asserts improves drop resistance by 64% compared to previous models.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC since 5G networks have not yet been established in Bangladesh. Introducing a next-gen connectivity smartphone is futile if it cannot be utilized to its fullest. Regarding storage, the vivo Y29 4G offers three configurations: 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8/256 GB.
The rear features a prominent camera module, which includes a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP secondary camera for bokeh effects, a dynamic color light, an LED flash, and an IR blaster positioned in the top right corner.
The front-facing camera, housed within a punch hole, boasts an 8 MP sensor.
The vivo Y29 4G is marketed heavily for its durability. Equipped with advanced cushioning and certified military-grade drop resistance under MIL-STD-810H standards, it promises remarkable endurance.
Additionally, it has an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, and vivo asserts it will provide a smooth experience for up to 50 months, likely referring to its software support duration.
The device runs on Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, featuring several AI capabilities for photo editing and enhanced wireless signal strength. It also introduces the Circle to Search function, previously available only in high-end devices.
The battery capacity is impressive at 6,500 mAh, and it supports 44W wired charging. However, the vivo Y29 4G does not include features such as NFC, FM radio, a 3.5 mm audio jack, or wireless charging capabilities.
