Vivo and Amazon India are set to launch the camera-centric vivo V50e, featuring a quad-curved display similar to the S20 series. Available in Sapphire Blue and Pearl White, it boasts a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera and a “Wedding Portrait Studio” for fun filters. The rear camera utilizes a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with multiple modes for portrait shots and offers a 116° ultra-wide camera alongside an Aura Light. Rated IP68/IP69 for water resistance and drop-tested extensively, the V50e promises durability and quality, including 4K video recording capabilities on both front and rear cameras.
Vivo and Amazon India are gearing up to introduce a new mid-range smartphone aimed at photography enthusiasts, the vivo V50e. A dedicated landing page is already available on vivo.com and amazon.in, showcasing its design and essential features.
The vivo V50e will be offered in Sapphire Blue and Pearl White
The design resembles that of the vivo S20, although the two devices are distinct. The V50e features a quad-curved display, something that is only found on the S20 Pro (the S20 sports a flat display).

On the front, the vivo V50e is equipped with a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera boasting 0.8x and 1.0x modes (with the wider option offering a 106° field of view, as noted in the specifications). It will also come with a feature called “Wedding Portrait Studio”, which adds fun filters and frames (this capability is also found on the V50).
Filters: Prosecco • Neo Retro • Pastel
The primary rear camera utilizes a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor (1/2”) equipped with OIS. Vivo refers to this as a “multi-focal camera”, offering modes for portrait shots at 1x, 1.5x, and 2x.

Front camera: 0.8x • 1x
Moreover, the phone features a 116° ultra-wide camera and an Aura Light (vivo’s ring light). Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording capabilities.
The V50e holds an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance (suitable for immersion and hot water jets), surpassing the ratings of the S20 series (which only offer IP64, the same as the V40e). Furthermore, the phone has achieved an SGS Five-Star rating for drop resistance, having survived 42,000 drop tests simulating various scenarios.

While the vivo V50e shares a design similarity with the S20, the internal hardware is not identical. From benchmark results, we already know that the chipset will differ, and the higher IP rating has been noted. There may be additional changes as well, which we will discover soon.
