Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami: Two pivotal figures
In the lead-up to the tournament, much was discussed regarding Kohli, 36, and Shami, 34. However, when it was time for the crucial matches, both players rose to the occasion and guided India to victory.
Virat Kohli concluded the Champions Trophy 2025 as India’s second-highest run-scorer and the fifth overall. He struck a brilliant century against Pakistan in the group stage and later propelled India to victory with a superb knock of 84 in the semi-final against Australia.
