The Utah Jazz are optimistic as they face the Chicago Bulls, with Lauri Markkanen active after recovering from a back injury. Alongside Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson and Keyonte George are also available for the game. Markkanen’s previous absence led to a $100,000 fine for violating the NBA’s Player Participation Policy. Despite a challenging third season, averaging 19.0 points and 6.0 rebounds, he has struggled since returning, with just 15.3 points on 37.7% shooting. The matchup against his former team may be an opportunity for him to regain form. The game tips off at 7 PM MT.
The Utah Jazz are poised to have a health advantage in Monday night’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls.

Markkanen is set to join other players who were previously on the injury report, including Jordan Clarkson and Keyonte George, both of whom are expected to be available for the game.
Markkanen’s absence last week, particularly during a game against the Washington Wizards, resulted in a $100,000 fine for the Jazz due to an infringement of the NBA’s Player Participation Policy. Nevertheless, since that incident, Markkanen has not missed any games for Utah.
Despite facing ups and downs in his third season, Markkanen has been a crucial contributor for the Jazz, averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists over 46 games played.
However, since returning from his back injury, the 27-year-old has had a sluggish re-entry to the lineup, averaging 15.3 points with a shooting percentage of 37.7% from the field. A game at home against his former team, the Bulls, might provide the perfect chance for this All-Star to regain his momentum as the season’s end approaches.
The game between the Bulls and the Jazz is scheduled to tip-off at 7 PM MT.
