Unmasking the Cherry Blossom on The Masked Singer: Full House Star Disclosed

Candace Cameron Bure, known for her role as D.J. Tanner on Full House, was eliminated from The Masked Singer in the March 26 episode. She expressed her nerves and excitement before singing a cover of Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud,” revealing that singing live was a new experience for her. In a video package, she honored her late friend Bob Saget, a previous contestant. Despite her performance, she received the least votes and was unmasked. The judges initially speculated other celebrities but were surprised to learn it was Bure. The show continues with other contestants still in competition.

Cherry Blossom’s journey on The Masked Singer has come to an abrupt end.

A cherished member of the classic ’90s sitcom Full House was knocked out in the Fox singing competition’s March 26 episode, shortly after being presented to the audience alongside other fresh faces like Nessy, Yorkie, Stud Muffin, and Mad Scientist.

“This feels incredibly real right now, and I’m starting to get anxious about it, but I can handle this!” Cherry Blossom confessed in a video prior to demonstrating her singing abilities. “For me, Cherry Blossom symbolizes renewal, a transition of seasons. That makes it especially fitting for me. Plus, this is very personal.”

It was revealed that the television star had a close friendship with a previous Masked Singer contestant.

“You could say we were raised together,” the enigmatic actress hinted. “He taught me not to take life too seriously, and no one made me laugh more than him. Fast forward to a day when I turned on The Masked Singer and heard that unmistakable voice. I recognized it from the very first note. Now, while I’m thrilled to follow in their footsteps, I’m also terrified.”

“I’ve accomplished so much in my career, but I’ve never performed a song live,” Cherry Blossom wrapped up. “But I took a deep breath. I think it’s vital for this Cherry Blossom to expand her horizons and have some fun. So, this is dedicated to one of the most vibrant personalities I know. Miss you, bud.”

Even after delivering a stunning rendition of Jennifer Lopez‘s “Let’s Get Loud,” Cherry Blossom was still a bundle of nerves before the judges.

“This is the most frightening thing I’ve ever done,” she shared with the audience. “But I’m channeling my children’s confidence. One of them loves to sing, but right now, my legs feel like jelly.”

Subsequently, Joey Fatone shared a final clue through a video message, confirming that Cherry Blossom was “part of one of the most renowned TV families from the ’90s.”

Sadly, the star received the fewest votes that night and was sent home.

Reflecting on the judges’ guesses for the identity behind the colorful costume, Ken Jeong confidently suggested it was Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey, while Rita Ora picked 7th Heaven alum Jessica Biel, Jenny McCarthy guessed Beverly Hills, 90210‘s Jennie Garth, and Robin Thicke believed it was Tracy Gold, known for starring on Growing Pains with his late father Alan Thicke.

Ultimately, it was revealed that Candace Cameron Bure—known as Full House‘s D.J. Tanner—was the one who overcame her anxiety of public singing.

Naturally, it was the late Bob Saget that Candace referred to in her video segment. Saget participated as Squiggly Monster during season four of the series just over a year before his unexpected passing in 2022.

During her significant reveal, Robin—whose late father starred on Growing Pains with Candace’s brother Kirk Cameron—noted that they were “in the same circle.”

“We’ve known one another since we were 9 years old,” he stated. “We even dated for a week when we were 13.”
