Nintendo is set to unveil the highly anticipated Switch 2 handheld console today, April 2, at 6 AM PT (9 AM ET/13:00 GMT). The new model features a larger size and an 8.4″ OLED display, along with magnetic Joy-Cons that abandon the traditional Red and Blue colors. Notable additions include extra triggers, an improved U-shaped kickstand, and a new dock. A short demo of a potential Mario Kart 9 game was also showcased. Global hands-on experiences are scheduled for 2025 across multiple cities in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.

Nintendo is set to unveil the Switch 2, an eagerly awaited handheld gaming console. The company has revealed its design along with some notable features, including a larger footprint and a bigger display, likely an 8.4″ OLED screen. The Joy-Con controllers will now feature a magnetic design and will no longer sport the vibrant Red and Blue colors, which will now be found underneath the joystick.

Nintendo will introduce the Switch 2 with added triggers on the rear, positioned next to the L/R buttons. A revamped U-shaped kickstand will provide users with increased flexibility in positioning the device.
