At the FII Priority Summit in Miami, former President Donald Trump warned that “World War III is not far away” but claimed his leadership would prevent such a conflict. He criticized Joe Biden’s administration, stating that if it had continued, the world would be at war. Trump emphasized the U.S. won’t engage in “stupid, never-ending wars,” but would maintain superiority to deter conflict. He also targeted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing him of persuading the U.S. to spend excessively on an unwinnable war, while Europe contributes less financially. Trump described Zelenskyy as a dictator without elections.
Washington:
On Thursday, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech at the FII Priority Summit in Miami, cautioning that “World War III is not far away” but asserting that his leadership would avert such a scenario.
Trump claimed that if the administration of former US President Joe Biden had continued, the world would have been plunged into war.
“There’s no benefit for anyone in having World War III, and you’re not so far away from it. I’ll tell you right now. You’re not so far away. If we would have had this administration for another year, you would have found yourselves in World War III, but that won’t happen now,” he stated.
Trump emphasized that while the US would not engage in any of these conflicts, he would strive to halt them.
“We are going to prevent people from these foolish, never-ending wars. We won’t be involved ourselves, but we’ll be much stronger and more powerful than anyone else by a significant margin. And if it ever came to war, there wouldn’t be anyone who could compete with us, but we believe that won’t ever occur,” he remarked.

In a post on the platform X, Trump quoted Elon Musk, stating, “Elon Musk: The President’s instincts on Ukraine are absolutely correct. It’s truly unfortunate that so many parents have lost their sons, and so many sons their fathers in this senseless conflict.”
On Wednesday, Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine, stating that the United States has spent USD 200 billion more than Europe, and that Europe’s financial contributions were “guaranteed,” while the US saw no return.
Trump denounced Zelenskyy for encouraging the United States to pour billions into a war that he felt was unwinnable, questioning the allocation of resources and Europe’s failure to make an equal financial commitment. He also referred to Zelenskyy as a dictator without elections.
On the social media platform Truth Social, Trump commented, “Consider it, a somewhat successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, convinced the United States of America to spend $350 billion to engage in a war that couldn’t be won, one that never needed to start, but a conflict that he, without the US and ‘TRUMP,’ will never be able to resolve.”
