Trump Addresses Arrest of Columbia Student Advocating for Palestinian Rights

US President Donald Trump stated that the arrest of a Palestinian graduate student involved in pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University will lead to further arrests. He claimed there are more students engaging in what he termed pro-terrorist and anti-Semitic activities across universities in the U.S. Trump asserted that many involved are not true students but rather paid agitators. He emphasized that the Trump Administration will not tolerate such actions and promised to find, apprehend, and deport these individuals, labeling them as terrorist sympathizers who will not be allowed to return to the U.S.

Washington:

On Monday, US President Donald Trump remarked that the recent arrest of a Palestinian graduate student, who has been an active participant in pro-Palestinian demonstrations at Columbia University in New York, is just the beginning of several more arrests to follow.

“This is the initial arrest in a series to come. We are aware of additional students at Columbia and various other universities nationwide who have taken part in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, and anti-American actions, and the Trump Administration will not stand for it. Many are not true students, but rather hired agitators. We will locate, apprehend, and deport these sympathizers of terrorism from our nation—never to return,” Trump expressed in a post on Truth Social.
