“TikTok Arrives,” says executive as Trump indicates he might delay the ban once more.

The US Congress passed a law potentially requiring TikTok to cease operations unless sold to a US company, but President Trump granted extensions. Recently, TikTok hosted major advertisers in Manhattan, where VP Khartoon Weiss emphasized the platform’s presence and growing user base of 170 million in the US. Trump indicated he might grant further extensions as the deadline approaches in June. The event, hosted by Hasan Minhaj, showcased new marketing tools and attracted interest from companies like Amazon and Microsoft, though TikTok did not discuss plans to separate from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.

The US Congress enacted legislation aimed at shutting down TikTok’s operations in the country unless it was acquired by an American firm. However, President Trump subsequently granted a 75-day extension, followed by another 75 days.

Recently, TikTok convened key advertisers in Manhattan for a presentation about its future. Khartoon Weiss, VP of Global Business Solutions, emphasized, “TikTok is here – we are here.”

This development follows Trump’s indication that he might provide TikTok with yet another extension, with the current one set to expire in June.

Weiss noted that TikTok is increasingly being used as a substitute for Google’s search engine, boasting 170 million users in the US alone.

The event was hosted by Hasan Minhaj, featuring representatives from major brands like L’Oreal and Unilever, who were introduced to new tools designed to enhance marketers’ campaign management.

Several major US corporations, including Amazon and Microsoft, have shown interest in acquiring TikTok, with even MrBeast reportedly in the mix. However, TikTok did not address the prospect of distancing itself from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, during this presentation.
