Tecno Launches 2 MP SpectraVision Camera for Enhanced Color Precision

At MWC 2025, Tecno unveiled its new smartphone camera technology, the SpectraVision Camera, featuring a 2 MP color-rendering sensor and a unique algorithm for realistic color reproduction. This technology incorporates a 9-channel spectral sensor, capturing a wider light spectrum and richer colors, outpacing traditional 4-channel solutions. Additionally, Tecno introduced Tecno Imaging Matrix technology, promising precise color restoration in various lighting conditions, alongside the Tecno Universal Tone algorithm for realistic skin tone representation. The first device to feature this innovative camera is expected to be revealed during the upcoming Camon 40 series launch.

Tecno kicked off its announcements at MWC 2025 with a bang. Initially, the company showcased all its exhibition products and subsequently unveiled a new smartphone camera technology named SpectraVision Camera.

This innovative 2 MP color-rendering sensor, paired with an in-house algorithm, aims to deliver realistic and true-to-life color reproduction.

The module features a 9-channel spectral sensor, capturing a wider light spectrum and richer color details. Tecno claims that this advancement significantly outperforms conventional 4-channel RGGB and RYYB technologies.

Additonally, the company unveiled Tecno Imaging Matrix technology (TIM), which promises “unparalleled precision in color restoration” that mimics human vision, even under difficult lighting conditions.
