Hollywood romance takes the spotlight as Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco reveal their passionate new single, ‘Sunset Blvd,’ complemented by a stunning music video.
The song, which recalls the couple’s initial date, is the latest offering from their eagerly awaited collaborative album, ‘I Said I Love You First,’ set to release on March 21.
On March 14, Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 37, introduced the track along with a nostalgic, retro-themed music video that showcases themes of intimacy, desire, and reminiscence.
Previously, the pop icon had teased the release on Instagram, posting a black-and-white image of the couple cuddled together under a blanket.
In her post, she shared the emotional backstory of the song’s title: “Our first date was on Sunset Blvd, and it’s also the title of our next song together… Sunset Blvd out March 14 with @itsbennyblanco.”
The music video begins with classic scenes of Los Angeles’s iconic Sunset Boulevard, setting a moody and cinematic atmosphere.
As the camera transitions indoors, Gomez is seen, gazing dreamily through a rain-speckled window, seemingly lost in thoughts of Blanco.
Blanco makes multiple appearances throughout the video, including a humorous small-scale version of himself that Gomez teasingly “eats” in the final moments.
The couple, who became engaged in December 2024, have been sharing their love story through their music.
Earlier this week, they dined at Jitlada Thai Restaurant, the location where their romance initiated, and recreated their first date meal–shrimp curry.
‘Sunset Blvd’ is the third single from ‘I Said I Love You First,’ following the earlier releases of ‘Scared of Loving You’ and ‘Call Me When You Break Up’ featuring Gracie Abrams.
