Tasmania is at 101 and 164 for 3 (Radhakrishnan 53*) and requires 217 more runs to overcome South Australia, who scored 93 and 388 (Sangha 75, Scott 69, McInerney 61)
Chasing 381 runs for victory, Tasmania ended the third day at 164 for 3 at Adelaide Oval. Radhakrishnan, an Indian-born 22-year-old who can bowl with both right and left arms, anchored the pursuit with an unbeaten score of 53. He will resume alongside Jake Doran, who is not out on 19.
Radhakrishnan and Tim Ward pushed the score to 70, but Ward fell shortly after tea. Similar to Weatherald, the left-handed Ward was caught lbw by McAndrew, having failed to play a shot, even though the ball hit his thigh pad and seemed to be heading over the stumps.
Having represented Australia at the Under-16 and Under-19 levels, Radhakrishnan then took part in a 66-run partnership, primarily driven by seasoned player Jordan Silk. Silk scored 43 off 66 balls before being bowled by legspinner Lloyd Pope while attempting a drive through the off-side, just an hour before stumps.
Earlier, South Australia concluded their second innings all out for 388. Resuming at 272 for 6, McAndrew and Ben Manenti thrived together, each hitting five boundaries in a 78-run partnership.
