Samsung’s Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 will simplify accessing Gemini.

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy A series mid-range models—A56, A36, and A26—will soon feature the ability to activate Google’s Gemini AI assistant by pressing and holding the power button. Previously available on Galaxy S series flagships, this function will be included in a software update starting in early May, likely alongside the May security patches. Jay Kim, Samsung’s Executive VP, emphasized the collaboration with Google to enhance user experiences, making AI more accessible through intuitive gestures, facilitating intelligent support in daily tasks for Galaxy A users.

Samsung continues its push into AI technology. The company has revealed that users of the Galaxy A series mid-range devices will soon have the ability to activate Google’s Gemini AI assistant by pressing and holding the power button.

This feature will be available on the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. It was previously seen on Galaxy S series flagship models. A software update that includes this functionality is set to roll out to these three Galaxy A devices beginning in early May, presumably coinciding with the release of the May security patches.
