Samsung is reintroducing free storage upgrades for the Galaxy S25 series pre-orders. The S25 Ultra’s 512GB model costs $1,300, and the 1TB variant is $1,420, with trade-in discounts up to $900 for models like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The S25+ offers a 512GB upgrade for just $20 more than the base 256GB, with trade-in values up to $700. Meanwhile, the S25 model has a slight price increase of $10 for 256GB over 128GB, with up to $500 trade-in credits. Samsung Credit can be used for these upgrades, enhancing affordability.
Samsung often provides complimentary storage upgrades during pre-orders, a trend that had been absent since the S25 series. However, Samsung US has decided to reintroduce this offer.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with 512GB storage is priced at $1,300, which is equivalent to the MSRP of the 256GB version. Likewise, the 1TB variant is available for $1,420, matching the typical cost of the 512GB model.
By trading in an eligible device, you can cut these prices by as much as $900. Devices such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Z Fold6, and even the Z Fold5 are valued at this amount, while the S23 Ultra is appraised at $750. Additionally, Samsung provides a store credit ($80 for the 512GB model and $60 for the 1TB variant) for future purchases.
The Samsung Galaxy S25+ also offers an attractive storage upgrade option – the base 256GB model is priced at $1,000, while the 512GB variant can be yours for just an additional $20. With trade-in offers, you could save up to $700, which is the value for an older S24+, and $600 for an S23+.
It’s worth mentioning that any Samsung Credit accumulated from previous purchases can also be applied toward the cost of the storage upgrade, which is applicable for both the S25 Ultra and the standard S25.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 similarly features an enticing storage upgrade option – the 256GB model comes in at just $10 more than the 128GB version. With a trade-in, you can receive $500 for an old S24 or $400 for an S23.
Once again, you can utilize your existing Samsung Credit for that mere $10 increment. If you’re trying to choose between the Galaxy S25 and S25+, don’t miss our comparison article.
