Samsung unveils The Premiere 5 projector, capable of transforming into massive 100″ touchscreens.

Samsung’s Premiere 5 ultra-short throw projector, priced at KRW 1.99 million ($1,380), launches in South Korea. It projects a 100″ image from just 43cm away and can be set up on various surfaces. Featuring touch functionality, it turns tables into giant screens, supports smartphone screen mirroring, and adjusts image quality through Vision Booster technology. The projector runs on Tizen OS with access to smart features and Gaming Hub, supporting various game streaming services. It outputs a 1080p image using a triple laser system, has HDR10+ support, and includes multiple connectivity options and built-in Dolby Atmos speakers.

First revealed at CES in January, The Premiere 5 projector is officially launching in South Korea, priced at KRW 1.99 million (approximately $1,380).

The Premiere 5 features sensors that gauge ambient light, automatically adjusting contrast, color, and brightness with Vision Booster technology for improved image quality. It also includes auto keystone correction.

Furthermore, the projector supports SmartThings, enabling you to control smart home devices with ease (the touch capabilities are particularly useful here). Running on Tizen OS, it offers smart features like Gaming Hub, which supports multiple game streaming services such as Xbox, GeForce Now, and Luna.

The Premiere 5 projects in 1080p, utilizing a triple laser system with a light source rated for 20,000 hours. It supports HDR10+ and includes two micro HDMI ports (one with eARC), along with a USB-C port. Wireless connectivity is facilitated through Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2, and it has built-in stereo speakers (10W) featuring Dolby Atmos.
