Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 in early July, with their battery capacities revealed through UL Demko certification. The Fold7 features two batteries totaling 4,272 mAh, likely marketed as 4,400 mAh, remaining unchanged from its predecessor. The Flip7 combines cells for a total of 4,174 mAh, expected to be marketed as 4,300 mAh—an increase of 300 mAh from the Flip6. Notably, Samsung maintains a 25W wired charging capability for both devices, consistent since previous models. The reason for the Fold7’s unchanged battery capacity remains unclear.
Samsung is anticipated to launch the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 in early July. Prior to this event, both devices received UL Demko certification in Denmark, revealing their battery specifications.
The Fold7 is equipped with two batteries, rated at 2,126 mAh and 2,146 mAh respectively, totaling 4,272 mAh. Samsung is likely to market it as having a typical capacity of 4,400 mAh, indicating that the Fold7’s battery capacity remains the same as its predecessor.

The Flip7’s batteries consist of 1,189 mAh and 2,985 mAh, adding up to 4,174 mAh, which Samsung is likely to advertise as a typical capacity of 4,300 mAh. This signifies a 300 mAh improvement over the Flip6—though modest, it’s still a welcomed enhancement.
It remains uncertain why Samsung continues to maintain the Fold’s battery capacity at 4,400 mAh, unchanged since the Fold3 was released in 2021 (note that the Fold2 had a larger battery at 4,500 mAh).
Moreover, pertaining to features Samsung seems reluctant to modify, both the Fold7 and Flip7 will remain limited to 25W wired charging, a specification that has not changed since the Flip4 in 2022 and the Galaxy Z Fold2 in 2020.
