Samsung is developing the Galaxy M36, recently identified in the Geekbench database with model number SM-M366B, indicating it’s the global variant. This prototype features an Exynos 1380 SoC and 6GB of RAM, launching with Android 15 and One UI 7. While specific details are limited, the M36 may echo last year’s M35, which had a larger battery and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is expected to include a 6.7-inch 1080×2340 Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, various camera configurations, and storage options of up to 256GB. The Galaxy A36 uses a different Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.
Samsung is currently developing the Galaxy M36, which has recently been detected in the Geekbench online database following a prototype benchmark test. As is typical, this gives us insights into the expected specifications regarding its SoC, RAM, and the Android version it will launch with.
The Galaxy M36 variant that appeared on Geekbench is identified by the model number SM-M366B, indicating that it is the global version. This device is equipped with the Exynos 1380 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM in this prototype. It will debut with Android 15, layered with One UI 7 on top.
Unfortunately, additional specifications for the M36 have not been revealed yet. Last year, the Galaxy M35 closely mirrored the Galaxy A35, with the M35 featuring a larger 6,000 mAh battery and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. A similar trend may occur this year; however, the already released A36 utilizes the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, adding another distinction between the models.
If the other features remain consistent, anticipate the M36 to include a 6.7-inch 1080×2340 Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, alongside options of up to 12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide, a 5 MP macro camera, and a 12 MP front-facing camera.
