Samsung Appoints TM Roh as Interim Leader of the Digital Devices and Appliances Division

TM Roh, head of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) business, has been appointed Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) division, following the passing of Han Jong-hee. Won-joon Choi has been named COO of the MX division while maintaining his roles in R&D and Global Operations. Cheolgi Kim takes on the Head of Digital Appliances business. Additionally, Mauro Porcini has joined Samsung Electronics as President and Chief Design Officer, bringing experience from Pepsi and 3M. This appointment aims to enhance Samsung’s design capabilities across all business sectors, including mobile, TV, and home appliances.

TM Roh, the head of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) business, is set to take on additional responsibilities as the Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) division, succeeding Han Jong-hee, who sadly passed away last week.

Several other executives are also stepping into new roles. Won-joon Choi has been appointed as COO of the MX division while maintaining his positions as the Head of R&D Office and Head of Global Operation Team within the MX division. Cheolgi Kim has been designated as the Head of the Digital Appliances business.

Moreover, Samsung Electronics has appointed Mauro Porcini as President and Chief Design Officer. Porcini brings prior experience from Pepsi and 3M. According to the press release announcing his hire, “With the addition of Mr. Porcini, Samsung Electronics plans to further enhance its design capabilities across all business areas, including mobile, TV, and home appliances.”
