Realme unveils a prototype smartphone featuring a 10,000mAh battery and 320W fast charging.

In early 2023, Realme introduced its 240W charging system with the Realme GT Neo 5. Now, ahead of the Realme GT 7 global launch, the company is showcasing a prototype featuring a 10,000mAh battery and 320W charging capability. Notably, the prototype is only 8.5mm thick and weighs 215g, utilizing a battery with a 10% silicon anode for an energy density of 887Wh/L. Realme reduced the motherboard to 23.4mm, the smallest on an Android phone. Although this prototype is impressive, the upcoming Realme GT 7 will feature smaller batteries and slower charging speeds.

At the beginning of 2023, Realme introduced its groundbreaking 240W charging technology, debuting on the Realme GT Neo 5. Since that time, Realme remains the sole smartphone manufacturer to offer 240W – and now, the company is set to surpass its own achievement.

As we approach the global launch of the Realme GT 7, the company has revealed details about a prototype device featuring a colossal 10,000mAh battery and an astonishing 320W charging capability.

Notably, this prototype is only 8.5mm thick and weighs 215g. Realme has utilized a battery design with a 10% silicon anode, achieving an energy density of 887Wh/L. To optimize the internal space available for the battery, the smartphone’s motherboard was minimized to just 23.4mm in height – the smallest on any Android device to date!

Chace Xu, President of Realme Global Marketing, shared a 2-minute unboxing video showcasing the prototype and explaining its development. Here are some screenshots from that video:

It’s important to note that this is merely a prototype – the Realme GT 7 series will feature smaller (albeit still substantial) batteries and reduced charging speeds. However, Realme has shown a swift transition from prototype to consumer-ready product, evident from its previous 240W charging system introduction.
