Realme to launch smartphone featuring a 7,500 mAh battery this year, with a 10,000 mAh model on the way ‘soon.’

The brand aims to be a leader in battery innovation, announcing plans for a smartphone with a 7,500 mAh battery by the end of 2025. Speculation suggests this could be the GT 8 Pro, following last year’s GT 7 Pro. Additionally, Realme revealed a prototype with a massive 10,000 mAh battery, though no launch date was provided. In a discussion with Android Headlines, Realme expressed its ambition to be recognized for battery innovation, much like Oppo and vivo are known for their camera technology. The company has confirmed that it intends to launch a smartphone with a 7,500 mAh battery before the end of 2025.

Although Realme has not disclosed the name of the smartphone boasting the 7,500 mAh battery, speculation suggests it might be the GT 8 Pro, which the brand has confirmed will debut this year. The GT 8 Pro is set to succeed last year’s GT 7 Pro, which came equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 120W charging, and a 6,500 mAh battery (5,800 mAh in India).

In addition to confirming the upcoming launch of a 7,500 mAh battery phone in 2025, Realme announced that a smartphone featuring a colossal 10,000 mAh battery is also in the works, although no launch timeframe has been provided.

Earlier this month, Realme presented a prototype smartphone equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery. The device was 8.5mm thick and weighed 215 g. This battery incorporated a 10% silicon anode and boasted an energy density of 887 Wh/L. To optimize internal space for the 10,000 mAh battery, Realme utilized a motherboard measuring just 23.4mm tall, the smallest in the Android ecosystem.
