Realme will debut its 14 Pro series at MWC in Barcelona, highlighting smartphone photography with a new device featuring an “ultra-large sensor and optical telephoto lens.” This intriguing unveiling suggests a competing camera technology reminiscent of flagship models like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The press release emphasized the sensor’s size without naming specific models, potentially in competition with Xiaomi and Xperia. Meanwhile, the Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ are already available in India and China, with the Pro+ expected to retail around €589 and the Pro around €435.
Realme is set to showcase its presence at MWC in Barcelona, where it plans to unveil the 14 Pro series to a global audience. The smartphone manufacturer has also distributed a press release, hinting at a device featuring “an ultra-large sensor and optical telephoto lens designed to transform smartphone photography”.
This marks the first time we have heard about such a device, and it appears that it will only be hinted at, with a full announcement expected to follow later this year.
In its press release, Realme noted that the “ultra-tier device features a sensor larger than those found in flagship models,” though no specific models were mentioned.
It is likely that this comparison is being made against the Galaxy S25 Ultra or the iPhone 17 Pro Max, as it is hard to believe the company possesses a sensor larger than the 1″-type used in devices like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra or Xperia 1 VI.
Returning to the Realme 14 Pro series, both the 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ are currently available in India and China. Our review of the Plus model found it to be a well-balanced device boasting a vibrant display and solid performance.
We anticipate that the Pro+ will be priced around €589, while the standard Pro has been hinted at a price of €435.
