A sexual harassment case has been filed against a pastor from a church located in a village of Punjab’s Jalandhar district, according to police reports on Sunday. The woman alleged in her complaint that she and her family have been regular attendees at the church since October 2017.

Pastor Bajinder Singh, who gained fame from the viral ‘Mera Yeshu Yeshu’ video, obtained her phone number and began sending her messages.

She expressed that she was fearful of him and felt unable to confide in her parents.

Starting in 2022, Singh reportedly made her sit alone in a church cabin on Sundays and allegedly hugged and touched her inappropriately, as stated by the complainant to the police.

Singh has amassed a significant following on social media, with his content frequently featured in YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. Over time, he has received endorsements from various celebrities, including actors Chunky Pandey and Aditya Pancholi.

The police have indicated that a case has been filed against him under sections 354 A (sexual harassment), 354 D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
