The new brand Nothing has launched its first phone, the Nothing Phone (3a), featuring a telephoto camera, in the US. Priced under $500, it comes with a 6.77” 1080p+ display and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, alongside a 5,000mAh battery with 50W wired charging. The camera setup includes a 50MP main, a 50MP telephoto, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, Apple released new tablets and MacBook Airs, with updated iPads featuring the A16 chip and the iPad Airs equipped with the M3 chip. The Mac Studio remains Apple’s most powerful computer.
Nothing has quickly become one of the exciting new brands to recently hit the market, and unlike most competitors, it boasts an official presence in the US. This week, its inaugural phone featuring a telephoto camera has launched.
The Nothing Phone (3a) targets the mid-range segment and is available in two configurations, both priced below $500. True to its design philosophy, Nothing doesn’t produce small devices; this model comes with a spacious 6.77” 1080p+ display (120Hz, 10-bit, HDR10+, 3,000 nits). Instead of using a Dimensity chip, the company has opted for a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 this time. It features a robust 5,000mAh battery with 50W wired-only charging.
The camera configuration includes a 50MP main sensor (1/1.57”, OIS) along with a new 50MP telephoto lens (50mm, 2x), an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front camera. If that’s not enough for you, you might want to hold off for a couple of weeks until the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro comes out, launching on March 25.
This week, Apple unveiled its latest tablets and computers. The newly updated basic iPad now offers 128GB of base storage, although it still lacks sufficient RAM and chipset power to support Apple Intelligence. The A16 chipset does provide a performance upgrade over the 2022 version, but beyond this, the changes are minimal.

After upgrading the iPad Air models last year with the M2 chip, Apple has chosen not to wait another two years, releasing new 11” and 13” iPad Air tablets featuring the M3 chip. While this chip is a generation behind the ones found in last year’s iPad Pros, it’s an improvement over the M2 found in the 2022 models. Similar to the basic iPad, the chipset stands as the only significant enhancement in this update.

For those seeking M4 performance while retaining portability, the new MacBook Air laptops present an attractive option. Offered in 13.6” and 15.3” sizes, these models weigh 2.7lbs and 3.3lbs, respectively. To put this into perspective, a 13” iPad Pro weighs just 1.3lbs, though the accompanying Magic Keyboard adds an additional 1.46lbs (ultimately exceeding the iPad’s weight).

Lastly, with no new Mac Pro on the horizon, the 2025 Mac Studio is currently the most powerful Apple computer available. It can be configured with either an M4 Max or an M3 Ultra chip. It’s worth noting that the latter option is significantly more expensive, primarily due to the RAM and storage — the M3 Ultra comes with an impressive 96GB of RAM compared to the 36GB in the M4 Max.
