Pre-Orders Open for Moto Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra; £100 Discount on iPhone 16 Series

Motorola recently launched the Razr 60 Ultra, featuring IP48 dust resistance, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and enhanced cameras. It includes a 4,700mAh battery with 68W wired and 30W wireless charging, plus three 50MP cameras. The inner display measures 7” with a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. The Razr 60 model also boasts IP48 protection but has a less powerful Dimensity 7400X chip. Meanwhile, Amazon discounts most iPhone models by £100, making the iPhone 16 start at £700. Comparisons are available for the iPhone 16 lineup against previous models and storage options.

Earlier this week, Motorola introduced its latest foldable smartphones—the first Razr models to feature dust resistance with an IP48 rating, a notable rarity in the foldable market. The Razr 60 Ultra is equipped with a high-end chip, enhancing the screen, cameras, and battery performance.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (no “s” chip this time), the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra packs a 4,700mAh battery that supports 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. It features three 50MP cameras: a 50MP main camera (1/1.56”, OIS, 8K @ 30fps), a 50MP ultra-wide camera (replacing the 2x telephoto), and a 50MP selfie camera inside. The inner display has expanded to 7 inches, reaching up to 4,000 nits brightness, while the cover display measures 4 inches. For more details, check out our review.

The 2025 Ultra is set to launch on the Monday in two weeks, so in the meantime, consider last year’s Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. It utilizes the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which remains fast. The inner display has a lower resolution (1080p+ vs. 1224p+) and peak brightness (3,000 nits). The battery is also smaller and slower, at 4,000mAh, with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. However, the 2024 Ultra remains a strong flip foldable option, priced over £300 lower than the new model.

A more fitting comparison may be with the Motorola Razr 60. This model also boasts an IP48 rating, surpassing the Razr 50 Ultra. Additionally, it has a larger 4,500mAh battery (30W wired and 15W wireless charging). While its price is similar to the previous year’s flagship, it falls short in many areas, particularly with the entry-level/mid-range Dimensity 7400X chip.

It’s somewhat rare, but all current iPhone models, except the new 16e, are discounted by £100 at Amazon.

This means the standard iPhone 16 starts at £700 for the 128GB variant, while the iPhone 16 Plus is £137 more. We offer detailed comparisons to assist you in selecting the ideal model: iPhone 16 vs. 15, iPhone 16 vs. 16 Plus, and iPhone 16 vs. 16 Pro.
