Xiaomi launched the Poco M7 in India, a rebranded Redmi 14C, exclusively on Flipkart. It features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset for 5G connectivity and a 6.88″ HD+ LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light. The phone has a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie camera, with added features like a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio, and dust and splash resistance. Powered by HyperOS on Android 14, it houses a 5,160 mAh battery with 18W charging, priced at INR 9,999 for the base model.
Xiaomi has officially launched a new smartphone in India today, introducing the Poco M7. This device comes with a promise of 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. It’s essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi 14C, available exclusively on Flipkart.
The Poco M7 is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, enabling 5G connectivity. It features a 6.88″ LCD display with HD+ resolution and supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi has ensured the display is TUV Rheinland certified for low blue light emission and flicker-free performance.
Despite the circular camera layout, the device is equipped with only two cameras on the rear. The primary camera boasts 50 MP, while details about the secondary camera remain unspecified. The front-facing camera is an 8 MP unit.
Fans of budget smartphones will appreciate features such as a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio, enhanced 150% volume output, along with dust and splash resistance. Additionally, there’s a microSD slot that supports up to 1 TB of expandable storage.
Running on HyperOS, which is layered on Android 14, the Poco M7 is equipped with a robust 5,160 mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
This smartphone will be exclusive to Flipkart, meaning customers wishing to purchase it on Amazon India will need to opt for the Redmi 14C instead. Interestingly, both devices are priced similarly; however, the Redmi offers less favorable memory configurations.
Consequently, the Poco M7 5G presents a better value proposition. It is available in Black, Green, or Blue, starting at INR 9,999 for the 6/128 GB variant and INR 10,999 for the 8/128 GB model.
