Poco’s F series is set to launch its first Ultra model, the F7 Ultra, featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Recently certified for sale in Indonesia and Thailand, the phone’s announcement is expected soon, likely following the F6 series release last May. Rumored to be a rebranded Redmi K80 Pro, the F7 Ultra may include a 6.67-inch 1440×3200 OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, up to 16GB RAM, various storage options, and a robust camera system with a 50 MP main camera. It will support a 6,000 mAh battery with fast charging and run Android 15 with HyperOS 2.
Poco’s flagship F series is introducing an Ultra model for the very first time this year, with the F7 Ultra set to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, as indicated by a recent benchmark test.
The device had previously received certification for sale in Indonesia back in January, and it has now also successfully passed the certification process in Thailand. As is customary, this doesn’t disclose any specifications, but it does indicate that the launch is drawing nearer.
For reference, the F6 series was launched in May of the previous year, so we might still be several weeks away from the unveiling of the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra.
The F7 Ultra is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80 Pro. If this speculation holds true, anticipate it to feature a 6.67-inch 1440×3200 OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,200 nits, available with 12/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage, a 50 MP main camera equipped with OIS, a 50 MP telephoto camera offering 2.5x optical zoom with OIS, a 32 MP ultrawide lens, a 20 MP front-facing camera, and a 6,000 mAh battery supporting 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device is expected to run Android 15 with HyperOS 2 layered on top.
