Xiaomi is set to introduce a new budget-friendly smartphone in India, the Poco C71, which was featured on a dedicated landing page on Flipkart outlining its main specifications. We have also learned that it will be available starting April 4, priced at under INR 7,000 (approximately $80/€75).
The Poco C71 will boast a 6.88″ display (likely an LCD) featuring a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. According to promotional materials, it is described as the “most eye-friendly display in its segment,” highlighting that it is one of the few affordable phones certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light emissions and minimal screen flicker.
This display will also support wet touch technology, enabling usage even with wet fingers.
The USB-C port and the 3.5 mm audio jack have been tested for durability, each enduring up to 20,000 uses.
Powering the Poco C71 is a 5,200 mAh battery that supports 15W wired charging, and the charger will be included in the retail box. The promotional materials indicated that the battery will retain at least 80% of its capacity after three years of usage.
The rear camera will feature a 32 MP sensor, while the front will have a basic 8 MP selfie camera located in a waterdrop notch. The Poco C71 will come with 6 GB of RAM and be powered by an octa-core chipset capable of reaching an AnTuTu score of 300,000, though this figure lacks context.
The device will operate on Android 15, with Xiaomi promising 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches. Additionally, there is a one-year mobile warranty, applicable in over 19,000 areas across India.
