Palm Springs Surf Club now operational after numerous challenges

The Palm Springs Surf Club has had a rocky five years since its announcement on the former site of the Wet N’ Wild waterpark with a budget exceeding $80 million. After a much-anticipated grand opening on New Year’s Day 2024, the wave pool encountered technical issues that prevented surfing for several months until October. However, the surf club has been functioning smoothly since and also includes waterslides, a lazy river, a restaurant, and other amenities.

The main attraction of the facility is a pool designed for up to 25 surfers on its artificial waves, which can be tailored to accommodate different skill levels. The wave heights range from 2 to 7 feet.

“The Palm Springs Surf Club has something to offer everyone,” stated club developer Tim O’Byrne in comments to The Desert Sun. “Surfing is an incredible sport to witness, and at PSSC, the experience of watching surfers tackle world-class waves against the breathtaking backdrop of the Palm Springs mountains is unmatched.”

When will Coachella 2025 and Stagecoach 2025 take place?

Coachella Weekend 1 is set for April 11-13, with a performance by Chris Lake in the campgrounds on April 10 to kick off the festivities.

Coachella Weekend 2 is scheduled for April 18-20, with Disco Dom performing in the campgrounds to start the fun on April 17.

The Stagecoach country music festival will occur on April 25-27, sharing the same venue as Coachella, the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
