INDIANAPOLIS — As the Indiana Pacers prepare to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, excitement is palpable across the Hoosier State.

“I’ve been a Pacers fan for 32 years,” said Anthony Overby.

Overby reminisces about his numerous Pacer moments.

“The energy, the fan base, the people, the city—I love it all,” Overby shared with WRTV.

His passion for the Pacers is evident in photos featuring him and his daughter together.

“We sit at home, analyzing the game. She often asks, ‘Daddy, can I stay up to watch the end of the Pacer game?’ and I always say, ‘Of course, it’s the playoffs,’” Overby explained.

The game of basketball has strengthened their bond.

“It means everything. Family has always been my top priority growing up,” Overby remarked.

Meanwhile, inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse, there’s a quiet build-up as the arena gets ready with 18,000 “Boom Baby” Gold Out shirts ahead of Game 3 on Friday.

“It usually takes about 45 minutes, and we have around 90 to 100 staff and volunteers involved. We’ve got a solid system in place. It’s an excellent team-building activity,” Pacers staff member Joshua Shuck mentioned to WRTV.

As shirts fill the venue and fans gear up for this crucial Game 3, the unwavering determination embodied by the Pacers will be highlighted.

“It’s impressive how we never give up. It’s a valuable trait in life, motivating you to keep pushing forward,” Overby concluded.
