Industry buzz now suggests a mini version, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini, may be on the horizon with comparable features to its larger counterpart. The Mini is expected to feature a 60Hz LTPO AMOLED display with 2,200 nits peak brightness, powered by a Snapdragon W5 chipset and a BES2800 MCU. Its specs include 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, and health sensors like an optical heart rate monitor and SpO2 sensor. Battery life is projected at three days in Smart Mode and up to eight days in Power Saver mode.
A month ago, Oppo made a significant announcement event where they introduced the Find N5. During this event, they also unveiled the Oppo Watch X2, which is essentially a rebranded OnePlus Watch 3. The mini version appears to mirror most specifications and features from its larger counterpart. While the display size remains undisclosed, it is expected to feature a 60Hz LTPO AMOLED display with a maximum brightness of 2,200 nits. The dual chipset and dual operating system architecture are also on board, with a Snapdragon W5 chipset supporting Wear OS 5 and a BES2800 MCU handling the RTOS system. The precise battery capacity is still a mystery; however, it is rumored that the Mini will last up to three days in Smart Mode (Wear OS) and six to eight days in Power Saver mode. For comparison, the standard Watch X2 is estimated to last up to five days in Smart mode and sixteen days in Power Saver mode.
The Watch X2 Mini is expected to come with 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. Health tracking features will include an optical heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, fall detection, and a rapid 60-second health check routine. All these features are said to be encased within an IP68 and 5ATM-rated body.
Regarding the watch’s design, we don’t anticipate any significant changes, but currently, we have limited insights based solely on the promotional poster.
