Android 16 is set to launch soon, with early updates for select devices. Xiaomi released Android 16 Developer Preview for the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14T Pro, showcasing their early access. The 14T Pro features a Dimensity 9300+ chipset, a 6.67” OLED display, and a strong camera system at a competitive price. The Xiaomi 15 also offers impressive specs, including a Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 6.36” display. Other phones, like the OnePlus 13 and Nothing Phone (3a), are on track for updates as well. Discounts are available on some Samsung Galaxy Tab models and the iPhone 16 series.
Android 16 is set to launch soon—whether that’s sooner or later will depend on your device. Pixel phones are usually the best choice for receiving OS updates promptly, but they aren’t the only contenders.
Xiaomi kicked off the week by releasing the Android 16 Developer Preview, available for two devices: the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 14T Pro. Keep in mind, though, that these ROMs aren’t intended for everyday use; however, they do demonstrate that Xiaomi is ahead of many of its peers.
The Xiaomi 14T Pro is particularly noteworthy—thanks to current discounts, you can snag it for £500. This late 2024 model debuted with Android 14 and received an update to Android 15 in November.
It boasts a Dimensity 9300+ chipset, features a 6.67” 12-bit 144Hz OLED display, and includes a triple camera setup with a 50MP 1/1.31” main sensor, a 50MP 2.6x (60mm) telephoto, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Additionally, it has a 5,000mAh battery supporting 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device also sports an aluminum frame and an IP68 rating, providing substantial value for its relatively affordable price.
The Xiaomi 15 is a compact flagship featuring a 6.36” 12-bit 120Hz LTPO display. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite and boasts an even more advanced camera system: a 50MP 1/1.31” main, a 50MP 2.6x (60mm, tele macro) telephoto, and a 50MP ultra-wide. Thanks to Si/C technology, the battery capacity stands at 5,240mAh, with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Another upcoming phone set to receive Android 16 is the OnePlus 13, which recently received its second beta. This device also features the Snapdragon 8 Elite but is larger, with a 6.82” 10-bit 120Hz LTPO display. It includes a triple 50MP camera system with a 1/1.43” main sensor and a 3x (73mm) periscope telephoto lens. Its battery is generously sized at 6,000mAh, supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro were launched in March, but their availability has been a bit inconsistent lately. Luckily, they’re back in stock on Amazon, although currently without discounts. To recap: both models utilize the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, sport 6.77” 10-bit 120Hz 1080p+ OLED displays, and carry 5,000mAh batteries that support 50W wired charging. Both feature 50MP main cameras and 8MP ultra-wide lenses, with the distinction in their telephoto systems—50MP 2x (50mm) for the regular and 50MP 3x (70mm) for the Pro.

Last week, we covered the release of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. There are no new discounts to report this week—the Tab S10 FE starts at £500, while the Tab S10 FE+ begins at £650. However, we did find savings on their flagship counterparts.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, the premium model, is currently £200 off. It features a large 14.6” 120Hz OLED display and is equipped with an 11,200mAh battery that charges at 45W.

The Galaxy Tab S10+ is also £150 off and features a 12.4” 120Hz OLED display, making it smaller than both the Tab S10 Ultra and the 13.1” Tab S10 FE+. Unlike the FEs, both Tab S10 models are powered by the significantly more capable Dimensity 9300+ chipset instead of the Exynos 1580. They also include video output capabilities through their USB-C 3.2 ports.

PS: The £100 discounts on the iPhone 16 series that we mentioned last week are still available, so check them out if you’re not an Android user.
