Nursing Officer Assaulted at Rajasthan Hospital for “Unacceptable Conduct”

A senior nursing officer at a state cancer institute was assaulted by a female security guard and staff members who accused him of inappropriate behavior. The incident occurred when the guard physically dragged Mahesh Gupta out of his chamber, and female staffers surrounded him, subsequently slapping him. Hospital superintendent Dr. Sandeep Jasuja reported that an inquiry committee has been established as both parties filed complaints against each other. The hospital administration has also lodged a police complaint regarding the incident.

A senior nursing officer at a state cancer institute was attacked by a female security guard and other staff members who alleged inappropriate conduct, according to an official report on Monday.

Officials stated that the incident occurred on Saturday when the security guard seized senior nursing officer Mahesh Gupta by the collar and pulled him out of his office.

Subsequently, several female staff members surrounded him and took him outside, where they physically assaulted him, as reported.

Dr. Sandeep Jasuja, the hospital superintendent, noted that an inquiry committee had been formed after both parties submitted complaints to his office on Monday.

He further mentioned that the hospital administration has also reported the issue to the police.
