Last year, over 24 lakh students registered for NEET UG, the key exam for medical admissions in India, scheduled for May 4, 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the application window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) on March 7. The registration process for NEET UG began on February 7. Those looking to register can do so on the official site at neet.nta.nic.in. This serves as a reminder from NTA to complete the NEET UG application form before the deadline. The application correction window will open on March 9 and will remain accessible until March 11 at 11:50 PM.
In a statement released by NTA regarding the NEET UG application reminder, it was noted: “The registration process for NEET UG 2025 began on February 7, 2025, and will conclude on March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. Candidates are encouraged to complete their application as soon as possible to prevent any last-minute issues.”
“Final corrections will only be made after the payment of any additional fees, if applicable. For modifications that alter the fee amount, candidates will need to pay the excess charge accordingly. Please be aware that any surplus payments will not be refunded,” another notice from March 6 detailing the application correction timeline stated.
NEET UG is the premier examination in India for selecting candidates for UG medical and allied courses. Over the past two years, more than 20 lakh students have registered for the exam. In 2024, there were 24,06,079 registrations for NEET UG, compared to 20,87,462 in 2023. The registration numbers for 2022, 2021, 2020, and 2019 were 18,72,343, 16,14,777, 15,97,435, and 15,19,375, respectively. The NEET UG 2025 exam is scheduled for May 4.

When filling out the NEET UG 2025 online application form, candidates must select three cities as their preferred exam centre choices, listed in order of priority. The choice of exam city will be restricted to the state of permanent residence or the state of current address. For convenience, candidates may choose their own city or nearby cities within their state but not distant cities in other states.
