Xiaomi’s sub-brands are developing a new smartphone that has recently received FCC certification. This is specifically the Redmi variant, identified by the model number 25078RA3EL, which will be limited to 4G connectivity as it does not support 5G.
The device features a large 6.9-inch LCD display and houses a sizable 6,000 mAh battery. It will support 33W wired charging and will ship with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.2 pre-installed.
The accompanying live image below displays a V-shaped notch at the top of the screen, and the absence of 5G capabilities indicates that this will be an affordable device.
This smartphone will also be available globally under the Poco brand, as it has been certified by the EEC with the model number 25078PC3EG. The prefix “2507” in both model numbers suggests an initial release timeframe around July this year, although Xiaomi and its sub-brands sometimes deviate from their original timelines.
Regardless, we expect to hear more about this device shortly, so stay tuned.
