The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s camera specifications have been revealed. It features a 32 MP selfie camera, a main 200 MP camera (the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra), and a 12 MP ultrawide camera. The ultrawide sensor matches those in the Galaxy S25 and S25+, while the 50 MP ultrawide is exclusive to the S25 Ultra. The main camera promises decent 2x zoom capabilities despite lacking a dedicated telephoto lens. The Galaxy S25 Edge is set to be announced on May 13 and released in Korea and China on May 23, followed by other markets on May 30.
Yesterday, it was revealed that the selfie camera of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge utilizes the S5K3LU sensor, which has a size of 1/3.2″. Today, the same source has confirmed details about the main camera and the ultrawide, unveiling the complete camera setup for the phone (noting that it lacks a telephoto lens).
The main camera, as widely speculated, is the same 200 MP unit found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, featuring a 1/1.3″ type sensor. The ultrawide camera offers 12 MP and employs a 1/2.55″ type sensor, thus matching the ultrawide in the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+. Unfortunately, the 50 MP ultrawide from the S25 Ultra will remain exclusive to that model for now.

The 200 MP main camera should be capable of delivering impressive 2x zoom shots, as shown in our review of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which helps make up for the absence of a dedicated telephoto lens. However, it’s likely that you’re considering the S25 Edge for its sleek design rather than solely its camera capabilities, right? At least it features an ultrawide compared to the iPhone 17 Air.
As per recent rumors, the Galaxy S25 Edge is set to be announced on May 13 and launched on May 23 in Korea and China. Following that, it will become available in other markets, including the US, on May 30.
