Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE in early July. Leaks suggest the Flip7 FE will feature a 6.7-inch internal LTPO Super AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 3.4-inch cover display. It will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 12GB RAM, and include a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 10 MP selfie camera, all supporting 4K60 recording. The device will have a 4,000 mAh battery, IP48 rating, and will retail for under €1,000, resembling the Flip6 closely.
Rumors suggest that Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 in early July, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE (often called the Flip FE). A recent leak has revealed the specifications and anticipated pricing for the Flip7 FE.
Reports indicate that the device will feature a 6.7-inch internal folding screen of the LTPO Super AMOLED 2X type, boasting a 120 Hz refresh rate. The cover display is expected to be identical to that of the Galaxy Z Flip6, measuring 3.4″ diagonally.
Powering the Flip7 FE is said to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM. In terms of cameras, it will have a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 10 MP selfie camera, all capable of 4K60 recording.
A 4,000 mAh battery will keep the device running, featuring support for 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. Additionally, the phone will carry an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
The anticipated price for the Flip7 FE will be under €1,000. If these specifications sound familiar, it’s because they mirror those of the Flip6 released last year.
If this rumor holds true, the Flip7 FE appears to be simply a rebranded Flip6, which raises questions about Samsung’s strategy. It seems likely that the Flip6 will be phased out; otherwise, with existing offers, it would undoubtedly remain the more attractive option compared to the Flip7 FE, unless one specifically desires the extra year of software support that the “new” model will provide.
