Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset, likely named Elite 2, is expected to launch in October, succeeding the Snapdragon 8 Elite. A recent leak indicates it may achieve approximately 3.8 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark, representing a 41% improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s score of 2.69 million. Although AnTuTu scores aren’t everything, this improvement suggests a strong successor. The Elite 2 will feature a second-generation Oryon CPU with two Prime and six Performance cores, and will be manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process. It will also include the Adreno 840 GPU.
Qualcomm’s upcoming successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which debuted last October, is anticipated to arrive in October as well. Although the official name is still under wraps, we will refer to it as the Elite 2 for now.
According to a recent leak from China, this chipset is expected to achieve approximately 3.8 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark. For context, the current highest-scoring device on AnTuTu’s leaderboard is the iQOO 13, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which achieves a score of around 2.69 million.
The next-generation chip is projected to deliver a 41% increase in AnTuTu score compared to its predecessor; however, it’s worth noting that AnTuTu isn’t the sole benchmark (although it can seem that way in China, but that’s a separate topic). Regardless, this gives us a solid expectation that the Elite 2 will be a strong successor to the original Elite.
The Elite 2 will incorporate the second-generation Oryon CPU, which has been developed internally. It is expected to be fabricated using TSMC’s 3nm process, featuring two Prime cores alongside six Performance cores, and will also include the Adreno 840 GPU.
