The vivo X200 Ultra features a 35mm lens on its main camera, diverging from its X200 family predecessors. Product manager Han Boxiao shared camera samples showcasing various focal lengths: 35mm and 50mm from the 50MP main camera, and 85mm and 135mm from the 200MP periscope camera. The samples highlight the in-sensor zoom capabilities and include low-light portraits as well as flash-illuminated shots. The images also demonstrate the phone’s two image processing chips: the VS1 pre-processor and V3+ ISP. The X200 Ultra is set to be unveiled this month alongside the X200s.
In contrast to the earlier Ultra model and its counterparts in the X200 series, the vivo X200 Ultra will feature a 35mm lens on its primary camera. The 35mm focal length is a renowned choice, alongside 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm.
vivo’s product manager, Han Boxiao, has shared a new set of camera samples from the X200 Ultra, captured at those focal lengths – with 35mm and 50mm sourced from the main camera (50MP 1/1.28” LYT-818), while the 85mm and 135mm images are taken via the periscope lens (200MP ISOCELL HP9).

Han has provided insights into the images. The initial four photos display the four focal lengths sequentially.
Images #5 and #6 were captured at 50mm and 135mm to demonstrate the in-sensor zoom quality of the main and periscope cameras (which is how the additional focal lengths are achieved).
Next, images #7 and #8 are portraits taken in low-light conditions. Lastly, image #9 utilizes the phone’s flash to illuminate the subject, making her stand out from the background.
Just yesterday, Han shared camera samples that exhibit zoom capabilities exceeding 135mm, which you can check out. Prior to that, samples from the ultra-wide camera were also shared.
This also serves as a showcase for the vivo X200 Ultra’s dual image processing chips – the VS1 pre-processor and V3+ ISP. Be sure to look at this earlier teaser for an in-depth look at the cameras, and this one for more information on the two chips. The vivo X200 Ultra is set to be launched this month alongside the vivo X200s.
