Additionally, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva introduced a Suspension of Business Notice in the Rajya Sabha to discuss the critical implications of the delimitation exercise for India’s federal structure and the fair representation of southern states.
Congress MP K Suresh has declared that the Congress party will address significant issues during the second phase of the current budget session, with a particular emphasis on the delimitation process and its implications for southern states, including Tamil Nadu.
Suresh stated, “Today in Parliament, during the second phase of the budget session…we will bring up numerous important matters in Parliament. Particularly the delimitation issue, which has an impact on southern states. Tamil Nadu has already responded, and other states have also voiced their concerns. The Government of India intends to initiate delimitation without any consultation with stakeholders…”
Previously, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva submitted a Suspension of Business Notice in the Rajya Sabha to address the urgent issues related to the forthcoming delimitation exercise, focusing on its impact on India’s federal structure and the equitable representation of southern states.
