Kristin Cavallari Offers Rare Glimpse of Her 12-Year-Old Son Camden

Kristin Cavallari recently shared a rare moment with her eldest son Camden, 12, on Instagram, where they reviewed Hattie B’s Hot Chicken in Nashville. Cavallari, who admitted she had never tried the restaurant despite living in the city since 2017, filmed a light-hearted eating session with Camden. They commented on the food’s spiciness, with Kristin expressing enjoyment after her first bite. This video comes after Cavallari began showing Camden’s face on social media, explaining that he is now old enough to want to participate. She aims to give her children the choice about their online presence as they mature.

Kristin Cavallari recently provided a rare insight into her relationship with her oldest child.

On Friday, March 21, The Hills star, 38, shared a video on her Instagram Stories featuring herself and her son Camden, 12, casually reviewing Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. “Date night,” she captioned the clip, where the pair sat together enjoying their meal.

“OK, we’re trying Hattie B’s for the first time, the hot chicken, here in Nashville,” Cavallari opened the mother-son taste test, admitting that even after living in the city since 2017, she has “never had it after all these years.”

As Camden took his first bites, the mother of three — Cavallari shares Camden, as well as 10-year-old son Jaxon and 9-year-old daughter Saylor with her ex-husband Jay Cutler — showcased a piece of chicken to the camera before taking a dip.

“Is it hot?” she inquired of Camden before tasting. “Not really,” the 12-year-old responded.

He then posed a question about the food to his mom before displaying a big piece to the camera. “A little spicy,” Cavallari said of her first bite as her son asked, “Is it?”

“I got mild, but … it’s good. It’s so good,” she added, as the two shared a laugh.

Although the restaurant review concluded with Cavallari’s simple endorsement of “good,” she later shared a selfie with Camden, expressing a more excited reaction to the spicy chicken.

“Wait, honestly, so freakin good,” she wrote over the image.

This mother-son video comes a few months after Cavallari began showing Camden’s face on social media last fall. The former reality star had previously avoided posting her kids’ faces online but later shared her reasoning in an Instagram Stories post.

In September 2024, the Uncommon James founder posted a video of herself and Camden preparing pumpkin spice syrup together. After some viewers expressed worries regarding Camden’s visibility in the video, she addressed the matter in another clip.

“I appreciate everyone DMing me to point out that I showed Camden’s face,” Cavallari remarked at the time. “I know. He’s a bit older now and wants to be on social media, which is why I shared him. The only reason I haven’t shown my kids before is that I wanted to give them the choice as they got older.”

“And he’s 12 going on 28,” she continued, “so he is mature enough to make that choice now! But I appreciate everyone for informing me.”
