This week, the Kings continued their active NBA offseason.

According to sources, Sacramento is letting go of lead assistant coach Jay Triano and several other assistants, as reported by NBC Sports California on Saturday.

Triano, who had been part of the team since 2022, was notified on Friday afternoon that he would not be returning to the Kings.

He joined Sacramento’s coaching staff for the 2022-23 season, which saw the Kings end a 17-year playoff drought and secure the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Following the departure of Jordi Fernandez to coach the Brooklyn Nets, Triano was elevated to associate head coach after the 2023-24 season.

Sources informed NBC Sports California that Dipesh Mistry and Stephane Ingo will stay on the coaching staff. Mistry has held various roles since joining the Kings in 2023, most recently as head video coordinator and player development coach. Ingo became part of the Kings this past season as a video coordinator.

The Athletic’s Anthony Slater and Sam Amick reported, citing sources, that Leandro Barbosa will also be returning to Christie’s new staff.
