Kia India Sees 23% Year-over-Year Increase in Sales for February 2025

Kia India reported sales of 25,026 units in February 2025, reflecting a 23.8% increase from 20,200 units in February 2024. The sales include an additional vehicle compared to January 2025. The newly launched Kia Syros, priced from Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh, significantly contributed with 5,425 units sold, as 46% of buyers opted for the top variant. Other models also performed well, with the Sonet selling 7,598 units, the Seltos 6,446 units, and the Carens 5,318 units. Kia also exported 2,042 vehicles to over 70 markets, demonstrating solid demand and growth in India.


Kia India has revealed its sales figures for February 2025, announcing a total of 25,026 units sold, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 23.8 percent compared to the 20,200 units sold in February 2024. Notably, this marks an increase of one vehicle compared to the sales of 25,025 units in January 2025. The company credits the recently launched Syros for contributing significantly to these sales. This SUV is positioned in the sub-compact segment of the market.

The Kia Syros, which fills the gap between the Sonet and Seltos, is priced starting at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and can go up to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing strategy has enabled the SUV to achieve sales of 5,425 units in February. Additionally, Kia revealed that 46 percent of Syros buyers opted for the top-end variant of the vehicle.

In the meantime, the Sonet saw sales of 7,598 units, while the Seltos recorded 6,446 units, despite both models having faced notable declines during earlier periods—Seltos experienced a 57 percent year-on-year drop in June 2023, and the Sonet had a 38 percent decrease in January 2025. The Carens contributed 5,318 units to the total, and the premium Carnival Limousine achieved sales of 239 units.

Moreover, the automaker exported 2,042 units of vehicles manufactured in India to over 70 international markets during the month.
