Kash Patel, the recently appointed Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), honored his Indian heritage while celebrating the grandeur of the ‘American Dream’ during his swearing-in ceremony on Friday (local time).

Interestingly, Patel took his oath on the Bhagavad Gita, with his girlfriend and family by his side, while other family members were seated in the front row.

“Anyone who believes the American Dream is dead, look right here. You’re hearing from a first-generation Indian kid who is about to lead the law enforcement community in the greatest nation on God’s Earth,” Patel stated during his remarks following the swearing-in ceremony.

The term ‘American Dream’ typically refers to the notion that anyone can achieve success through hard work in the United States.
