Josh Little, the left-arm seamer from Ireland, is set to follow in the footsteps of his former international teammate Tim Murtagh by signing with Middlesex for the 2025 season.

At 25 years old, Little is anticipated to primarily compete in the Vitality Blast, but he will also be available for other formats depending on his international and Irish domestic obligations. The final terms of his contract are pending the issuance of a No Objection Certificate from Cricket Ireland.

To date, Little has taken 139 international wickets across both white-ball formats, including an impressive 4 for 45 on his debut against England in Dublin in 2019. His best bowling figures of 6 for 36 were achieved in an ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare in December 2023.

He brings a wealth of experience from the T20 franchise circuit, having played for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL, where he contributed to the team reaching the final in 2023. He has also participated in the Caribbean Premier League, SA20, ILT20, Major League Cricket, the Lanka Premier League, and The Hundred, including two stints with Manchester Originals and Welsh Fire.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to join Middlesex, one of the most prestigious cricket clubs in our sport,” Little expressed. “I’m excited to meet everyone, reconnect with some familiar faces, and put in the hard work both on and off the field.

“I want to thank Middlesex for their trust in me, and I am eagerly looking forward to what lies ahead. The chance to play at Lord’s is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Alan Coleman, the director of cricket at Middlesex, stated: “Securing a player of Josh’s T20 experience and proven capabilities is a significant achievement for us, as he has excelled at the highest levels of white-ball cricket globally over the past few years.

“He adds a unique dynamic to our bowling attack. With his genuine pace and left-arm angle, he presents challenges for batsmen, possesses a formidable short ball, and has the skills ideal for both the opening and death overs of an innings.

“We are eager to welcome Josh to the Club and look forward to unleashing him in the Blast this summer.
