The Israeli military announced the elimination of a Hezbollah naval commander in an airstrike on Tuesday in southern Lebanon, claiming his involvement in actions that breached a ceasefire agreement from November.
According to a military statement, the Israeli air force “targeted and neutralized” Khodr Said Hashem, a naval unit leader within the Lebanese armed group, near the town of Qana, alleging that he was involved in “activities (that) threatened the State of Israel and its citizens and represented a clear violation of the accords between Israel and Lebanon”.
