Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars to kick off PSL 2025 on April 11 – final on May 18

The tenth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will commence on April 11, featuring a match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi. The tournament will include 34 matches across Rawalpindi, Karachi, Multan, and Lahore, with playoffs in Rawalpindi and Lahore, culminating in the final on May 18 at the Gaddafi Stadium. Notably, the Gaddafi Stadium will host the most matches (13), while Rawalpindi will have 11. An exhibition match is planned for April 8 in Peshawar. PSL chief executive Salman Naseer emphasized the league’s growth and commitment to expanding its reach across Pakistan.

The tenth season of the six-team Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to kick off on April 11, featuring a match between the reigning champions Islamabad United and two-time titleholders Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi. A total of 34 matches will be held across Rawalpindi, Karachi, Multan, and Lahore, with the playoffs scheduled for Rawalpindi (May 13) and Lahore (May 14 and 16), culminating in the final in Lahore on May 18.

The upgraded Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host the majority of the matches, with 13 in total, including two playoff games and the final. Rawalpindi will hold 11 matches, featuring the opening game and the first qualifier, while Karachi and Multan will each host five matches. There will be three double-header days: Peshawar Zalmi versus Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi and Karachi Kings against Multan Sultans in Karachi on April 12; Sultans versus Kings in Multan and Qalandars against Gladiators on May 1; and Sultans facing Gladiators in Multan alongside United clashing with Kings in Rawalpindi on May 10.

“We are excited to officially unveil the schedule for the historic 10th season of the HBL Pakistan Super League,” said PSL chief executive Salman Naseer in a press conference statement. “Over the last decade, the HBL PSL has evolved into a world-renowned tournament, showcasing the finest cricketing talent from Pakistan.”

This season will also feature an exhibition match in Peshawar before the tournament kicks off – the teams have yet to be announced, but it is set for April 8, just three days prior to the main event.

“As part of our commitment to broaden the reach of the HBL PSL, we are thrilled to host an exhibition match in Peshawar before the tournament begins, which represents a pivotal step in bringing premier cricket to Peshawar, a city with a profound passion for the sport,” Naseer stated. “We are devoted to enhancing the experience for players, fans, and stakeholders who have enjoyed thrilling contests in the league over the years.”
